ATI Wins Contract Extension to Assist Federal Government with Interagency Operations Centers

CHARLESTON, SC – September 13, 2011 – Advanced Technology International(ATI), an SCRA affiliate, was recently awarded a contract extension forthe Watchkeeper program. The program, a component of the United StatesCoast Guard (USCG) Interagency Operations Center (IOC)/Command 21project, provides a set of software applications that assist in informedcommand and control decisions.

In addition, Watchkeeper supports the USCG mission of transforming Sector Command Centers into Interagency Operations Centers.

Since the inception of the WatchKeeper program, SCRA-affiliate ATI hasperformed planning, management, analysis, software development, testing,integration support, training support and documentation development insupport of this USCG mission.

Specific ATI systems engineering and software development supportincludes port-specific operations, alerting, geospatial situationalawareness, integration with the USCG Enterprise Service Business fordata source access and enhancements to the user interface.  ATI hasworked extensively with end users and the Coast Guard’s Test andEvaluation teams to support end-user training and meet end-userrequirements in preparation for future nationwide roll-out of thesystem.

The US Coast Guard has committed to delivering and supportingstate-of-the-art market platforms and systems that are affordable,efficient and mission-capable, said ATI President Rick Self. ATIoffers domain expertise and capability that supports these efforts toimprove our ports and security. The continuation of this contract is acredit to the ATI team and the excellent work that our associates haveperformed.

The IOC/ Command 21 project is a major USCG acquisition that istransforming Sector Command Centers into Interagency Operations Centersby improving facilities, information management and sensor capabilitiesinto an action oriented, proactive security environment. IOC/Command 21will satisfy the mandates of the Security and Accountability for Every(SAFE) Port Act of 2006.

At full implementation, each IOC/Command 21 watch floor will be tailoredto the individual needs of the ports and may be populated by diversepartners, including other federal, state and local law enforcement, portauthorities and Department of Defense organizations.
