Atlantic Packaging President Wes Carter appointed to Board of the South Carolina Conservation Bank

Atlantic Packaging announced that company President Wes Carter has been appointed to the South Carolina Conservation Bank board by Governor Henry McMaster. This appointment highlights Carter’s continued leadership in sustainability and conservation across the state and beyond.

The South Carolina Conservation Bank is committed to preserving South Carolina’s natural and cultural resources through strategic investments in land conservation. The bank plays a vital role in protecting the state’s forest lands, wetlands, farmlands, historical sites, and public greenspaces to enhance quality of life and support local economies. Carter brings a unique private-sector perspective to the board, rooted in his longstanding dedication to environmental stewardship.

As the founder of Atlantic Packaging’s sustainability initiative, A New Earth Project, Carter has become a pioneer in helping companies of all sizes transition toward more sustainable packaging solutions as they seek to minimize their environmental footprint. An advocate for land conservation, Carter recently partnered with the Lowcountry Land Trust and the Dorchester County Greenbelt Program to permanently protect the Barry Tract — 67 acres of ecologically and historically significant land along the Ashley River Road Historic Byway.
