AT&T names Jane Sosebee as South Carolina President

October 24, 2018

Jane Sosebee will be the new state president for AT&T* in South Carolina.

A 39-year veteran of AT&T and its predecessor companies, Sosebee was previously Director of Legislative Affairs. She succeeds Pamela Lackey, who retired in July.

“Jane will do a great job as president of AT&T South Carolina,” said Bill Leahy, AT&T Regional President-Southeast. “She brings a key combination of public policy expertise and passion for South Carolina, which will benefit our customers and communities across the state.”

As president of AT&T South Carolina, Sosebee will work closely with community and business leaders, elected officials, and others at AT&T to continue bringing the most advanced communications and entertainment technologies and services to South Carolina.

“These are exciting times and I am excited to work with all our stakeholders to help AT&T continue to make a difference in communities and in individuals’ lives across the state,” she said. “AT&T has a long heritage of investing to keep South Carolinians connected and I look forward to continuing to help our state grow and succeed in a global economy.”

A native of Laurens, SC, Sosebee attended Clemson University, where she was awarded a bachelor’s degree in English. She began her AT&T career in the business marketing organization. She subsequently joined the External Affairs, initially serving as the area manager for Anderson, Oconee, Pickens and Greenville counties before being promoted the state Director.

In addition to her responsibilities with AT&T, Sosebee has been very involved in community and charitable activities. She is a past chair of the Clemson University Foundation, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce and the Upstate Alliance.

In 2009 she was awarded the University’s Distinguished Service Award. This award is the highest honor that the Alumni Association can bestow and is given to those alumni who have not only devoted their life to professionalism and public service, but who have also continued a lifelong dedication to Clemson University.

She and her husband, Greg, have two daughters and one grandson.
