Smith Moore Leatherwood attorney H. Hall Provence IV has been selected to Greenville Business Magazine’s 2017 Best & Brightest 35 and Under. Provence is one of 36 young professionals recognized by the magazine on this year’s list.
Created to honor Greenville’s young leaders for their professional and community contributions, the Best & Brightest program is in its 24th year of recognizing outstanding young professionals. Honorees are selected based on professional achievements, community service and educational backgrounds.
Provence is an associate attorney with Smith Moore Leatherwood, and practices primarily in the areas of tax, wealth transfer planning and business transactions. A large portion of his practice is devoted to estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning. In addition to his trusts and estates practice, he also assists clients in the formation of nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, applications for recognition of exemption and preservation of tax-exempt status.
Provence serves on the board of directors for the Greenville Police Foundation and is active with the United Way of Greenville. He helped establish the ACE Mentor Program of the Upstate, which introduces high school students to the many career opportunities in architecture, construction, engineering and other related fields.
