BANDWAGON and Utrip help fans win on the road

May 15, 2017

For college football fans, an away or neutral site game is an opportunity to bring passion for your team into enemy territory. But if planned correctly, an away game can also be a convenient opportunity to explore a new city. A new partnership between BANDWAGON and Utrip will help sports fans make the most of these travel opportunities by taking the hassle out of trip planning and enabling them to stay focused on the game.

Utrip is an online travel planning platform that builds a personalized itinerary for a given destination based on a user’s unique preferences, budget and geography. Rather than independently searching hotels, restaurants, and attractions across multiple booking and review sites, Utrip users can customize their individual itineraries to meet their needs using one platform. Users also have the ability to book tickets or reservations directly through the Utrip platform.

“Utrip wants to make any travel experience as easy and personal as possible, even if that trip is behind enemy lines of your favorite team,” said Gilad Berenstein, CEO and Founder of Utrip. “By applying this idea to fans on the road and joining forces with BANDWAGON, we can alleviate the guess-work from travel planning and provide an entirely new journey for sports fans across the nation.”

The BANDWAGON Utrip partnership fully integrates the Utrip planner into the BANDWAGON ticket buying platform. Fans can search for and purchase tickets to an away game, and will then have the option of adding additional activities to their itinerary via Utrip. The trip planner can be found here.

The planner will offer itineraries for the major cities in which college football away games or neutral site games will be played during the 2017-2018 season. Fans’ first opportunity to use the travel planner will be for the neutral site matchups during the first weekend of the season, including the Michigan Florida matchup in Dallas, the Florida State vs. Alabama game in Atlanta, and the Tennessee vs. Georgia Tech game, also in Atlanta.

“We’re creating stronger fan bases by taking the headaches out of travel planning. If fans can leave an away game having enjoyed a great matchup, and a few of the top sights and sounds from an area they may have never been to before, that was a great investment for them,” said Harold Hughes, BANDWAGON CEO. “They may be more willing to make that investment again for a different game.”
