Jeffrey D. Hopkins joins Barnes Alford as the firm’s newest partner effective January 1, 2025

Barnes, Alford, Stork & Johnson, LLP is pleased to announce that Jeffrey D. Hopkins has been named a Partner in the firm.  Mr. Hopkins’ elevation recognizes his exceptional contributions to the firm and his dedication to delivering outstanding legal services to clients.

Mr. Hopkins’ practice focuses primarily on estate planning and administration, taxation, probate litigation, and business and real estate transactions.  His expertise and commitment to client service have distinguished him as a trusted advisor in these fields.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hopkins served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Amy W. McCulloch of the Richland County Probate Court and the Honorable Walton J. McLeod, IV of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court.  A dedicated member of the legal profession, Mr. Hopkins was selected as a Trust and Estate Fellow for the ABA’s Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section in 2021.  Additionally, he is a participant in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) Foundation’s prestigious Dennis I. Belcher Young Leaders Program for 2023–2025.  He is actively involved with the South Carolina Bar, the Lexington County Bar Association, and the ABA Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section.
