BCDCOG adds to transit planning staff

April 4, 2018

The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDCOG) welcomed Joshua Decker to its staff in the role of transit planner.

Joshua will join other seasoned planning professionals in analyzing the region’s transit needs and developing strategies for improvement.

Decker was previously an operations supervisor with the North American arm of international transport operator Transdev. Prior to that, he was a manager with the University of Maryland’s Shuttle-UM program, focusing on paratransit. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and technology: ecological design from the University of Maryland, College Park.

“Joshua will make an immediate impact on our transit planning efforts,” said BCDCOG Planning Director Kathryn Basha. “This is an area of rapidly growing regional importance and we’re glad to have him on board.”
