Berkeley County hosting public meeting on All-Hazard Mitigation Plan
August 29, 2025Berkeley County Emergency Management will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, September 2 at 6 p.m. to share details and receive input on the 2025 Berkeley County All-Hazard Mitigation Plan. The meeting will take place at the Berkeley County Administration Building, located at 1003 Highway 52 in Moncks Corner.
The All-Hazard Mitigation Plan identifies potential hazards and disasters, assesses vulnerabilities and risks, and proposes strategies to mitigate those risks with the goal of making the County more resilient to hazard impacts.
This meeting will allow the public to provide feedback on the Plan, ensuring it reflects the needs and concerns of people and businesses throughout the County. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the Berkeley County Government, SC YouTube page under the “live” section HERE. During the livestream, viewers are encouraged to submit questions in the comment section of the video; questions will be answered in real-time.
In addition, people are encouraged to participate in a survey now through October 1, 2025, to share information about personal experiences and perceptions of hazards in Berkeley County, as well as opinions on strategies that could help reduce those risks.
