Bidding is open for special Hootie and the Blowfish baseball jerseys

Community members have the chance to bid on one-of-a-kind Lexington County Blowfish baseball jerseys. On Friday, June 14, 2024, Blowfish players will wear specially designed jersey honoring the world-famous South Carolina band – Hootie and the Blowfish.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Lexington Medical Center Foundation.

The garnet and black jerseys have the words “Hooties” printed across the chest – and for one night, the Blowfish will play as the “Hooties.” Two of the jerseys will be autographed by all four members of the band.

Bid now on the Lexington Blowfish website, goblowfishbaseball.com or on this website. Bidding is open now until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024.

“The Lexington Blowfish continue to be committed to helping the Lexington Medical Center Foundation lift burdens from the lives of our patients, employees and community,” said Amy Lanier, executive director of the Lexington Medical Center Foundation. “It’s exciting to be part of “Hooties” night with the Blowfish.”

The Blowfish baseball team was named in honor of the band 18 years ago. The June 14th game is against the Macon Bacon at the Lexington County Baseball Stadium at 7:05 p.m. The jerseys will be auctioned off that night.
