Big South Releases 2025 Baseball Preseason Awards

Following an exceptional 2024 season, the Presbyterian College baseball team has landed four student-athletes on the Big South Conference’s annual Preseason All-Conference Team. Jackson HugusJake RandolphTrey Fenderson, and Sean Hollister were instrumental in securing PC’s first-ever regular season title last year and have been honored with spots on the 2025 preseason roster in recognition of their efforts. Additionally, the Blue Hose were picked fourth in the coaches poll.

JACKSON HUGUS
Senior | Catcher | Wellington, FL

Appearing in 46 games with 40 starts during the 2024 season, Hugus posted a .288 batting average with 36 hits, 23 runs, and 27 RBIs, adding seven doubles and five home runs, four of which were against conference foes. He notched a .431 on-base percentage and recorded seven multi-hit games, including a standout three-hit effort against St. Peter’s on February 16. His efforts earned him a spot on the Second Team All-Big South roster.

JAKE RANDOLPH
Junior | Designated Hitter | Vero Beach, FL

Randolph competed in 35 games with 27 starts during the 2024 season. He finished the year with a .302 batting average over 96 at-bats, recording eight multi-hit games, including a perfect 4-for-4 performance against USC Upstate on April 26. He scored 23 runs, highlighted by three conference games where he crossed home plate three times, and tallied 20 RBIs with six multi-RBI performances. Adding three home runs, two against conference foes, his standout season earned him a spot on the Second Team All-Big South roster.

TREY FENDERSON
Junior | Infielder | Spanish Fort, AL

Starting in just one game before a season-ending injury, Fenderson made an impact on February 16 against St. Peter’s, going 1-for-2 with a triple, two RBIs, and a run scored.

SEAN HOLLISTER
Senior | Relief Pitcher | Mount Pleasant, SC

Hollister made 26 appearances in 2024, primarily coming in as a reliever. He recorded 43 strikeouts over 42.0 innings. He notched multiple strikeouts in 12 games, including a career-high five against High Point on April 21. The South Carolina native finished the season with a 2.79 ERA and three saves.
