BJ’s Wholesale Club presents $46,784 donation to Lowcountry Food Bank and its food pantry partners at new Myrtle Beach club location

BJ’s Wholesale Club awarded a $46,784 donation through BJ’s Charitable Foundation to Lowcountry Food Bank and five of its Myrtle Beach food pantry partners. A check presentation was held at the new Myrtle Beach BJ’s Wholesale Club at 136 Las Palmas Drive in Myrtle Beach this month. These funds support the Food Bank’s Fresh Xpress program at these pantry sites with monthly fresh produce distributions for an entire year, giving 1,000 families who experience food insecurity access to healthy food. At these food pantries, neighbors can choose the healthy foods they want to take home and enjoy.
BJ’s has a long-standing commitment to nourishing the communities where its members and team members live and work, driven by a powerful purpose of: “taking care of the families who depend on us.” For over 15 years, BJ’s has worked with Feeding America and its network of food banks, providing more than 125 million meals for those in need. In the Myrtle Beach community, BJ’s is partnering with Lowcountry Food Bank by donating fresh produce, meat, dairy products, and more every week.
