March 12, 2026

The Black Food Truck Festival announced its official ranking as the #6 Best Cultural Festival in the country by the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

After weeks of nationwide voting, the Charleston based festival secured its spot among the top cultural events in the United States, further cementing its reputation as a premier destination for food, culture and community.

“We are incredibly honored by this recognition,” said Marcus Hammond, Founder of the Black Food Truck Festival. “Being ranked among the top ten cultural festivals in the nation is a testament to the talent of our vendors, the soul of our community, and the thousands of supporters who believe in our mission of economic empowerment and cultural celebration.”

The USA TODAY’s 10Best awards highlight the best of the best in travel and lifestyle, with nominees selected by a panel of relevant experts and winners determined by popular vote. This achievement places the Black Food Truck Festival alongside some of the most historic and large-scale celebrations in the country. Since its inception, the festival has welcomed over 40,000 attendees and generated a significant economic impact for small businesses in the Lowcountry and beyond. The event serves as a critical platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their culinary talents and reach a diverse, high energy audience.

Building on this national momentum, the Black Food Truck Festival is preparing for its next major event on April 25–26, 2026, at the Exchange Park in Ladson. Fans can expect an even larger lineup of food trucks, live entertainment and artisan vendors.
