Leading financial management solution for nonprofits wins 2010 Campbell Award

CHARLESTON, SC – December 9, 2009 – Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB), announced that its accounting and financial management solution, The Financial Edge™, has won its second consecutive Campbell Award for receiving top honors in a survey of 3,000 U.S. nonprofit professionals. The online nonprofit accounting survey conducted by Campbell Rinker in September, gathered information on user satisfaction, pricing preferences, purchasing habits, and organizational scope and size.

“It is an honor to be recognized again with a Campbell Award for The Financial Edge by the nonprofits we partner with every day,” said Lou Attanasi, Blackbaud’s senior vice president of products. “This award is a reflection of Blackbaud’s commitment to our customers, and our ongoing practice of incorporating their feedback into our software solutions. Our goal is to equip organizations of all types and sizes with exactly what they need to accomplish their financial management goals.”

The Financial Edge is a comprehensive fund accounting solution designed to transform traditional accounting data into decision making power. It is the only accounting solution that helps nonprofit professionals make strategic decisions, and achieve fiscal transparency and accountability.

Campbell Rinker is an independent research firm that specializes in producing marketing research for nonprofits, and the companies that serve nonprofits. This survey, conducted every two years, is the only research that focuses on this unique product category. Additional survey results are available for download on the Campbell Rinker website.

We love that this study provides nonprofit staff members with an opportunity to voice their opinions about the solutions they use, said Dirk Rinker, President of Campbell Rinker. “I’m also glad that with our Campbell Award we are able to recognize companies like Blackbaud that help these nonprofits by providing outstanding accounting solutions.

The latest enhancements to The Financial Edge have incorporated feedback from users to extend the flexibility of the system. In May, 2009 Blackbaud announced the availability of WebPortal™ for The Financial Edge™, streamlining and extending accounting procedures to the web. Blackbaud also recently added F9® for The Financial Edge™, a financial reporting tool that enables users to create flexible, customized financial reports in Microsoft® Excel®. With the introduction of The Financial Edge™ for Small Offices in September 2009, Blackbaud now offers a variety of configurations with flexible pricing and deployment options to scale from one user to hundreds-of-users. Nonprofits can choose between a perpetual-license model and a subscription-based hosted version through Blackbaud OnDemand hosting services.

The Association of Support Professionals (ASP) recently selected Blackbaud’s support site as a winner of this year’s “Ten Best Web Support Sites” award.
