Blackbaud Announces Product and Service Enhancements

Will be featured during BBCON 2011: Blackbaud Conference for Nonprofits

CHARLESTON, SC – September 28, 2011 – Blackbaud, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLKB) today announced enhancements across its products and services portfolio. The announcement comes in advance of BBCON 2011: Blackbaud’s Conference for Nonprofits, being held Oct. 3 – 5 in Washington, D.C., where all of the solutions will be featured.

Enhancements have been made in the following areas:

  • Arts and Culture – With a newly designed interface, web-based Altru™ software provides improved navigation, easy access to key tasks, and role-based work centers. New features and enhancements were made across ticketing, sales, membership, fundraising, online components, and financials.
  • CRM – Recent enhancements to Blackbaud CRM™ are centered on improving users’ efficiency through expanded data management and integration, new marketing and fundraising capabilities to help grow revenue, expanded reporting, multi-site management, and deeper Internet solution integration allowing nonprofits to improve their multi-channel marketing while reducing manual processes.
  • Education – New versions of Faculty Access for the Web™ and NetClassroom™ include enhancements to the user interface, seating charts, performance alerts and a teacher view of NetClassroom along with improvements to entering assignments and expanded browser support.
  • Fundraising – eTapestry® cloud fundraising software now includes access for unlimited users and easy-to-buy, all-inclusive pricing packages. eTapestry recently added new executive dashboards for easy access to recent gifts, top donors, and key performance indicators. Enhancements were also made to improve mobile usability and reporting.
  • Financial – Grants reimbursements have been automated in The Financial Edge™, and there are now enhanced capabilities for international EFT transactions. In addition, Blackbaud will be launching a new financial benchmarking offering at BBCON that delivers a comparative analysis by sub-sector and offers guidance on how to address uncovered issues.
  • Interactive – Enhancements have been made to Blackbaud NetCommunity® and Blackbaud Internet Solutions™ including the ability to easily build and publish mobile versions of websites and donation forms, and add single sign-in with sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Google to websites. Through a Website Plug-in Gallery, Blackbaud has also made it easier for nonprofit organizations to integrate with popular websites like YouTube, Discus, and Flickr. In addition, organizations using Blackbaud NetCommunity and Blackbaud Internet Solutions can now better engage their constituents and deliver their programs and services with their own social networks using Blackbaud Social ™.
  • Service Enhancements – Blackbaud has recently launched Start Learning™, a library of free online tutorial videos that are available to all maintenance subscribers. Blackbaud Merchant Services™ has expanded its offering to accept Canadian currency. The optimization of Blackbaud Application Hosting™ leveraging two new data centers (East Coast and West Coast) is providing unparalleled availability, reliability, and security for thousands of Blackbaud customers. Blackbaud also implemented extensive hardware hosting upgrades for its Blackbaud Sphere® customers, resulting in improved application response time and faster reporting.
