Gary A. Pickren Wins Top Regal Award
COLUMBIA, SC – The law firm of Blair Cato Pickren Casterline announced that Gary Pickren has won the REGAL award for real estate Closing Attorney of the Year. The award was presented by the Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) of the Building Industry Association of Central South Carolina (BIA).
“Gary Pickren is well deserving of this prestigious recognition,” said Edward “Eddie” Yandle, Owner of Executive Construction Homes. “Gary serves our industry in many ways by being the Co-Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee for the BIA. He was part of the delegation that lobbied the legislature in Washington, DC on issues important to the BIA. He teaches mandatory continuing education (MCE) classes to real estate agents and members of the SMC, and he served on the Real Estate Commission to rewrite the Seller Disclosure form and was on the task force to write the 2015-2016 MCE class for real estate agents. The work and advocacy Gary does behind the scenes has a direct, positive affect on our industry.”

Gary Pickren has performed over 15,000 commercial and residential closings since 1995. His concentration in the legal field includes residential and commercial real estate closings, REO, relocation, auction, real estate development, real estate licensing and grievance defense, builder representation, real property litigation, construction law, and mechanic’s liens. Pickren has been a featured speaker at numerous real estate meetings, teaching on topics including agency, disclosure, and loss mitigation. He is a co-founder of Blair Cato Pickren Casterline and the founder of the firm’s Real Estate School. He graduated from Wofford College with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Political Economy & Philosophy, and Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
