Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative present beneficiaries with 22nd annual Blue Ridge Fest funds

Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative presented checks to two Greenville area charities from the 22nd annual Blue Ridge Fest. A Child’s Haven and North Greenville Crisis Ministry both received $17,000 from Blue Ridge Electric’s annual fundraising event.

Blue Ridge Fest attracted nearly 8,000 attendees and more than 400 classic cars from across the Southeast to benefit twelve local charities in the cooperative’s four-county service area. Since the inception of Blue Ridge Fest, the event has raised nearly $3 million for Upstate charitable organizations.

 A Child’s Haven

 Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative employee Kandy Brooks presented a check for $17,000 from the 22nd annual Blue Ridge Fest to A Child’s Haven. Accepting the check on behalf of the organization is Executive Director, Laurie Rovin, along with staff members including Michael Beaver, David Rich, Teresa Baxter, Cynthia Wray, Julia Theiszmann, McKenzie Clemons and Ellen Crumbaker.

Since the inception of Blue Ridge Fest, the event has raised nearly $3 million for Upstate charitable organizations.

 North Greenville Crisis Ministry

Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative employee Dennis Smith presented North Greenville Crisis Ministry a check totaling $17,000 from the 22nd annual Blue Ridge Fest. Accepting the check on behalf of the organization is board members and volunteers including Cher McKay, JoAnne Turner, Brandy Amidon, Shannon Mercer, Tanya Thomas, Joe Dill, Ella Keown, Darrel Mercer and Eric Vinson.
