Bob Coble to Serve 2nd Term as Chair of Columbia World Affairs Council

COLUMBIA, SC – February 27, 2013 – The Columbia World Affairs Council has re-elected Nexsen Pruet member (partner) Bob Coble as its Chair.
Coble, who organized numerous Sister City Programs during his tenure as Mayor of Columbia, now leads the firm’s Public Policy and Governmental Affairs Group in Columbia.
“At one time, South Carolina might have been able to only do business with companies based here or in the Southeast. But, those days are over,” Coble said. “Our economy is intertwined with countries around the world and the World Affairs Council helps ensure that South Carolina is successful in navigating that complexity.”
Coble served as Mayor of Columbia for 20 years before retiring in 2010. His law practice is now focused on representing business interests at before federal, state and local policy makers.
