The Knowledge Economy, Continuous Education

Robert Hartwig, one of the nation’s top authorities on insurance and risk management, discusses insurance and risk management impacts for citizens and communities in South Carolina a year after the historic flood.

Hartwig, one of the nation’s top authorities on insurance and risk management, joined the Darla Moore School of Business this fall. Hartwig was a chief economist and president of the Insurance Information Institute, where he will continue to serve as a consultant. National media has turned to Hartwig for insights on insurance in the wake of natural disasters, including flooding after Sandy and last year’s event, as well as acts of terrorism.
