Bobbitt Completes Renovations and Addition for Large Mechanical Firm

COLUMBIA, SC – Bobbitt Design Build recently completed construction on a major expansion of facilities for Walker White, Inc., a maintenance, service and installation mechanical contracting company, located at 7404 Fairfield Road in Columbia.

Walker White relocated its entire office and shop into the new 2-story structure, which was previously a millwork office and shop. The 5,000-square-foot conventional addition was built to match the building’s 5,000-square-feet newly renovated area. It consists of a stucco and metal exterior, bar joist and a concrete second floor membrane roof. With 10,000 square feet of office and 60,000 square feet of shop space, Walker White is able to grow their business without the worry of running out of room.

The large mechanical firm had a budget goal and accepted proposals from three general contracting companies. After receiving a referral from a former Bobbitt customer, Walker White selected Bobbitt Design Build. Walker White also hired Architrave, an architect that Bobbitt recommended. All three companies worked closely together to stay within budget and complete the project in July.

Walker White looks forward to growing its business without office or shop constraints. The company offers installation, maintenance and consulting services for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and process piping areas.
