Boeing Selects SC Business For Small Business Mentoring Program
March 14, 2011COWPENS, SC – March 14, 2011 – J.I.T. Manufacturing has been selected as one of three companies to participate in the Boeing Company’s Small Business Development Mentoring Program. A Boeing Management Team toured the states of South Carolina and North Carolina looking for potential new suppliers in the latter part of 2010, they noted J.I.T. Manufacturing’s excellence and over-the-top willingness to become part of the Boeing family.

J.I.T. Manufacturing has been accepted into the Mentorship Program that Boeing offers small business and will receive training and assistance from Boeing to develop their company to the high standards and performance that the Boeing Company will demand and expect.
Vickie Wyatt, President and Co-Owner of the woman owned business, J.I.T. Mfg. states that she along with her entire team is very excited and anxious to begin the process needed to supply to the Boeing Company,

J.I.T. Manufacturing was selected after a visit in November 2010 by the Boeing Commercial Airplane Supplier Management Team, followed by another facility visit and tour just last week.
After hearing the news in October 2009, that the Boeing Company would be locating the large assembly facility in Charleston South Carolina for the new twin aisle 787 jet, Reggie Wyatt, CEO of J.I.T. began a journey to prepare his team and the company with a very clear mission of becoming one of those new suppliers, Mr. Wyatt began the process by becoming AS-9100 Certified in mid year 2010 which is required to supply to the Aerospace industry, Mr. Wyatt stated;

As the next step to making this dream a reality, the Management team from J.I.T. Mfg. met the Boeing Management team on Wednesday, March 9th, 2011 to sign the mentor agreement and tour the new facility in Charleston.
