Boeing VP of Marketing to Keynote Chamber Economic Outlook Conference
March 10, 2011CHARLESTON, SC – March 30, 2011 – Randy Tinseth, vice president, Marketing, for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, will keynote the Chamber’s annual Economic Outlook Conference March 30, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Charleston Area Convention Center.
Tinseth has been in his position since April 2007 and is responsible for marketing efforts across Commercial Airplanes’ entire family of products and services — contributing to planning and product development, understanding and communicating market requirements and the market outlook and supporting market positioning and sales activities.
He also hosts the Boeing blog, Randy’s Journal, http://boeingblogs.com/randy/, which to date has had more than three million unique visitors.
Tinseth joined Boeing in June 1981 as a flight test engineer and started in Marketing in 1989 with a management position in the Airplane Economics Group. Since then he has held a few positions at Boeing including sales director in North America, director of Product and Services Marketing and most recently customers’ leader for the 747-8 program, where he was responsible for developing marketing and in-service support strategies for the new 747-8 airplane, executing sales and working with the customer base.
In its 20th year, the conference will also include an 18 to 24 month look ahead at what’s in store for the region’s key economic sectors including the housing industry, visitor industry, airport, port and more. Registration includes a copy of the 2011 Economic Forecast containing regional forecast data and historical data for the Charleston region’s economy.
