Bon Secours St. Francis announces new board members for 2025
December 10, 2024Bon Secours St. Francis Health System announced the appointment of several new members to its Board of Directors for the year 2025. These distinguished professionals bring a wealth of experience and leadership in healthcare, business, and community service, and will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the health system as it continues to provide exceptional care to the communities it serves.
The newly appointed Board members are:
- Dr. Ahmad Boota, a physician with Bon Secours Palmetto Pulmonary Critical Care who has been caring for those in the Greenville community for more than 20 years. He specializes in pulmonary and critical care as well as sleep and palliative care medicine, treating conditions that range from sleep apnea and pneumonia to asthma. Dr. Boota currently serves as the Medical Director of the Bon Secours Sleep Disorder Center. He earned his medical degree from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine and is committed to providing exceptional care to patients.
- Kimberly Cooley, a dedicated leader in the Upstate community with a focus on early childhood education and nonprofit work. She has held key roles such as interim executive director and president of the board at A Child’s Haven and served on various committees with United Way. Kimberly founded Palmetto Consulting and Management, LLC and has used her background in construction management to support nonprofit capital campaigns and building projects in the area. She is an active member of several boards, including the Bon Secours St. Francis Foundation.
- Paola Rogers, founder and CEO of Blue Gate USA, a company dedicated to connecting talented individuals with life-changing career opportunities while simplifying the immigration process. Beyond her work at Blue Gate, Paola is the founder of Hispanos Comunidad, an advocate for increased healthcare access for the Latino community, and founder of multiple other ventures like Bonanza Loans and Zivo Insurance, all focused on supporting underserved communities.
- Carl S. Sobocinksi, founder and president of Table 301 Restaurant Group, a dynamic collection of 10 signature restaurants in Greenville. With more than 20 years of leadership, Carl has been a driving force behind the company’s success and growth, while also playing an active role in local business, charitable initiatives, and community development. He has received numerous accolades, including South Carolina Restaurateur of the Year and recognition as one of Greenville’s Most Influential People.
These new members will join three newly reappointed members – Dr. Robert Siegel with Washington University’s Department of Internal Medicine, Dr. Thomas Mann, Jr. with Carolina Surgical Associates, and Matthew Cooney with Michelin – on the board, which is now 16 members strong.
