New solution will empower 10,000 BSA users
CHARLESTON, SC – May 23, 2011 – Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB) announced that the Boy Scouts of America—one of the nation’slargest, most prominent values-based youth development organizations—haschosen Blackbaud CRM software as the platform for its constituentrelationship management efforts. Blackbaud CRM software will assist theBSA as it moves to a cutting-edge IT infrastructure offering an improvedexperience for its members and greater administrative efficiencies.
The Blackbaud CRM solution will be implemented at the Boy Scouts ofAmerica’s national office in Irving, Texas, as well as at its 296 localcouncils nationwide. Blackbaud’s CRM solution, which is specificallydesigned for the unique needs of nonprofits, will connect over 10,000BSA users to a centralized database to enable better coordination andexpansion of fundraising activities via direct-mail campaigns, productsales, and a direct dialogue with approximately 30 million alumni andsupporters.
Historical transformation
As the BSA moves into its second century, it will use the Blackbaud CRMplatform, along with other proven IT solutions from AT&T, Dell, andMicrosoft, to increase operational efficiency. By using the Blackbaudplatform, the BSA can maximize resources and enable its staff andvolunteers to better cultivate donors and focus on its mission ofpreparing young people to become exceptional adults.
