Boyer Construction hires retired army officer to lead Government Contracting division

Boyer Commercial Construction, Inc. announced that Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Justin Schaeffer has joined Boyer Construction as Director of Government Contracting.
Schaeffer, 42, retired from the United States Army last month after 20 years of service. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Infantry from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Schaeffer spent the past 12 years of service in the Army Acquisition Corps.

Schaeffer commanded at many levels, including battalion command where he deployed his contracting battalion to Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Schaeffer held multiple acquisition and contracting roles in areas ranging from construction, contingency, and installation contracting to requirements development and program integration. As a former director of contracting at Fort Campbell, KY, deputy director of contracting at Fort Stewart, GA, contracting advisor at Arlington National Cemetery and multiple deployments throughout southeast Asia, Justin’s years of experience across the globe will bring another level of professionalism to Boyer Construction.
Justin completed his bachelor of science in economics degree at West Point and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina and is a graduate of the U.S.
Army Command and General Staff College. He is a member of the National Contract Management Association and is both a Certified Professional Contract Manager and Certified Federal Contract Manager.
