Brandon Cox joins the Big Red Barn Retreat board to support our heroes in the Carolinas and beyond
October 2, 2025The Big Red Barn Retreat (BRBR), a leading nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans, military service members, and first responders, announced the appointment of Representative Brandon Cox of district 92 to its Board of Directors. Representative Cox brings a unique blend of military service, executive leadership, and public service to the BRBR.
Representative Brandon Cox is a military veteran, seasoned executive, and public servant with over two decades of leadership in defense, public safety, and government. He served for nineteen years as CEO of Threat Management Group before retiring in 2024 after a successful sale, and later founded Atrium SC LLC, a consulting firm focused on veteran-owned small business growth. Today, he serves in the South Carolina State House of Representatives as the Subcommittee Chairman for Military and Veteran Affairs of the SC House of Representatives of medical, military, public, and municipal affairs. A fourth-generation service member, Cox began his career in the U.S. Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), later applying those skills in high-threat security operations overseas. His diverse experiences—together with his relationship with Ken Falke, co-author of Struggle Well and founder of The Boulder Crest Foundation, has shaped his leadership. The Boulder Crest Foundation is the partner of the Big Red Barn Retreat providing the training and curriculum for Warrior PATHH and Struggle Well.

The Big Red Barn Retreat, located in Blythewood, South Carolina, provides transformative programs and training to help heroes thrive after traumatic experiences.
