Briggs Tucker joins Baker, Ravenel & Bender

Attorney Briggs Tucker has joined Baker, Ravenel & Bender as an associate.

He joined the law firm in July 2017 and focuses his practice in the areas of appellate advocacy, insurance defense and coverage and construction litigation.

“We are very proud to have Briggs joining us and know he will be a valuable asset to our firm and our clients,” said Markey Stubbs, the firm’s managing partner.

Briggs graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2015. In law school he was on the Dean’s List and was a national team member with the Moot Court Bar. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from The Citadel, where he was a member of Phi Alpha Theta – the History Honor Society – and was editor-in-chief of The Brigadier.

Before joining the firm, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paula H. Thomas of the South Carolina Court of Appeals. He also worked as a staff attorney at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. He is a member of The Citadel Alumni Association and has served as a 3L mentor with USC Law School.
