Brookgreen Gardens announces nature-inspired spring break camps for students

Brookgreen Gardens has opened registration for its 2026 Spring Break Camp series, offering students from kindergarten through sixth grade an immersive experience in the intersection of art and nature.
The four-day program, scheduled for April 6–9, will be held at the Wall Lowcountry Center Learning Lab. Each session runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, providing hands-on educational activities led by the gardens’ staff. 
The camp is divided into two distinct age groups to provide tailored educational content:

The Hungry Garden (Grades K-3): Younger explorers will study the “lunchbox of the garden,” investigating food chains across plants, insects, and mammals. Highlights include a behind-the-scenes greenhouse tour, a visit to the Lowcountry Zoo, and creative art projects like kaleidoscope making and sun prints.

Wonders of the Wild (Grades 4-6): Older students will act as field scientists and artists, focusing on spring biology. Participants will engage in bug observation labs, tree identification challenges, and the creation of kinetic sculptures and fairy gardens.
Registration is currently open to both members and the general public. Tuition for the week is $185 for members and $210 for non-members.
