Brown’s Ferry Elementary Beta Club secures state title, advances to nationals
February 3, 2026Members of the National Beta Club at Brown’s Ferry Elementary School for the Creative and Performing Arts are headed to the national stage following a top-tier performance at the South Carolina Elementary Beta State Convention.
The group secured a first-place victory in Apparel Design, a win that highlights the students’ creativity and technical skill. This state-level achievement qualifies the team to compete at the National Beta Convention, scheduled for Summer 2026 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Serving as Beta Club Sponsor and attending the SC Elementary Beta Convention was an incredible experience,” said Brantay Q. Cohens, Beta Club Sponsor and South Carolina Elementary Sponsor-Elect. “It was even more meaningful to watch the students’ creativity shine with a 1st place win in Apparel Design”.
The Brown’s Ferry Elementary chapter was chartered on Oct. 29, 2024, and currently consists of ten active members. In addition to competitive events, the club focuses on school and community service initiatives.
National Beta is the largest independent, nonprofit educational youth organization in the United States. It emphasizes four main pillars for its members: academic achievement, character, service, and leadership.
The victory represents a significant milestone for the Georgetown County School District as these students prepare to represent South Carolina on a national platform.
