Buchanan Construction Services Builds New Shives Funeral Home

COLUMBIA, SC – Construction is under way, and Buchanan Construction Services recently completed the framing work on a new funeral facility for Shives Funeral Home at 7600 Trenholm Road Extension.
The 11,000 SF facility will be Shives Funeral Home’s second location and will include business offices, a formal chapel, visitation rooms, and indoor and outdoor reception areas. The new facility is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2014.
“We’ve worked with Randolph Shives for a while as he developed the perfect plan and location for the new facility. Once complete, the new state-of-the-art facility will give Shives Funeral Home a second location in Columbia’s bustling Northeast area,” said Davis Buchanan, president of Buchanan Construction Services. “We’re thrilled to be a part of such a beautiful, classical building.”
