Business, accounting programs’ accreditation reaffirmed
June 8, 2015CLEMSON, SC – Clemson University’s business and accounting programs have again earned accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
AACSB International, founded in 1916, is the longest-serving global accrediting organization for business schools offering undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.
AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education and has been earned by less than five percent of the world’s business programs.
Bobby McCormick, interim dean, College of Business and Behavioral Science at Clemson, said the business and accounting programs’ reaccreditation is a testament to the faculty and staff’s commitment to delivering a quality education.
“At Clemson, we prepare our business and accounting students with the knowledge, leadership skills and hands-on experience necessary to reach their career potential. Students are poised to become market-ready leaders through the innovative learning they receive both in and out of the classroom at Clemson,” McCormick said.
Clemson University, ranked by U.S.News & World Report as a Top 20 public university in the U.S., graduates more than 1,000 students annually through its business curriculum.
“It takes a great deal of commitment and determination to earn AACSB Accreditation,” said Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. “Business schools must not only meet specific standards of excellence, but their deans, faculty and professional staff must make a commitment to continuous improvement to ensure the institution will continue to deliver the highest quality of education to students.”
