Business Litigation Attorney Josh Howard joins Womble Carlyle’s Greenville office

GREENVILLE, SC—Womble Carlyle has added to its litigation bench strength in the Upstate, with the addition of experienced business litigation attorney Josh Howard.

Howard has more than a dozen years of experience representing businesses in a wide range of federal and state disputes in South Carolina. His specific litigation experience includes:

• Patent infringement;
• Trademark violations;
• Financial litigation, including bank fraud and theft;
• Trade secrets violations;
• Employment law disputes involving employee contracts and non-compete clauses;
• Corporate shareholder disputes, representing corporations, boards of directors and majority shareholders;
• Professional malpractice allegations defending engineers, attorneys and insurance agents; and
• Product liability litigation, representing companies in the agricultural, chemical and equipment manufacturing sectors.

Howard has represented clients in cases before the South Carolina Supreme Court, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Early in his career, he served as a law clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Henry Herlong.

In the community, Howard is active in a number of Upstate charities, including serving on the Board of YMCA Camp Greenville. He also serves on the Steering Committee for Donate Life South Carolina’s Donors on the Diamond program, and is active in the Greenville County United Way.
