Callison Tighe & Robinson ranked among 2015 Best Law Firms in America
November 3, 2014COLUMBIA, SC – Callison Tighe & Robinson is ranked as a top-tier firm in real estate law and several areas of employment law in the newest edition of Best Law Firms in America.
The firm’s Tier 1 honors come in the practice areas of employment law, individuals; labor and employment litigation; real estate litigation; and real estate law. The 2015 edition of the guide, a joint publication of U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers in America, was just released.
The firm also was recognized in the practice areas of mediation and employment law, management.
Callison Tighe has been highlighted every year in Best Law Firms in America, dating back to the inaugural edition in 2010.
“We are honored that our fellow attorneys and our clients consistently hold us in such high regard in these two practice areas,” Callison Tighe managing member Michael W. Tighe said. “That we have been included in five consecutive editions is a testimony to the skills and credentials of our attorneys on both teams. It’s gratifying to see our work recognized.”
In order to be eligible for a ranking, a firm had to have at least one attorney rated highly in Best Lawyers. Six Callison Tighe attorneys – Tighe, Ralph C. Robinson Jr., Nekki Shutt, Andrew “Drew” English III, M. Malissa Burnette and Sherwood M. “Woody” Cleveland – are included in the 2015 edition.
From there, surveys are sent to lawyers in the same practice areas and firms in the same metropolitan area. Areas examined include the firm’s responsiveness, cost-effectiveness and civility. The questionnaires also ask if the firm should be recommended based on its work. The data are collected and analyzed to determine the final rankings.
Nationwide, around 11,000 firms are evaluated each year. In addition to appearing in the guide, the results are online at http://bestlawfirms.usnews.com/
