Callison Tighe sponsors Military Appreciation Days at EdVenture

May 24, 2019

Callison Tighe is helping EdVenture honor those who serve by becoming a sponsor at the museum’s three Military Appreciation Days this year.

On Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Veteran’s Day, the museum will offer free admission to military members with valid IDs and up to three of their guests. The program will go on at all three EdVenture locations – Columbia, Hartsville and Myrtle Beach this year.

“Many of us at Callison Tighe have served, so we are aware of the sacrifices these men and women, and their families, make for our country,” said firm founding partner Mike Tighe, who served as a major in the U.S. Air Force. “It’s just one small way that we can say ‘thank you’.”

Callison Tighe recently was honored by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a U.S. Defense Department program, with its Pro Patria Award in recognition of its support for Guard and Reserve members.

“We are very proud of all the attorneys at our firm who have served in the military, and we’re pleased to be able to join with EdVenture in honoring those who are still serving,” Callison Tighe partner Rick Detwiler said. “We especially want to support the families of those who sacrifice so much in service for us and hope as many as possible take this opportunity to enjoy the wonderful experience of EdVenture.”

A non-profit organization devoted to the love of learning, EdVenture features interactive exhibits and activities designed to spark the imagination. The museum also offers an array of after-school programs, camps and youth development opportunities. You can learn more at the EdVenture website.
