CAMS’ Danielle Smith named Certified Manager of Community Associations

December 28, 2021

Community Association Management Services (CAMS), an industry leader in community association management throughout the Carolinas, is excited to share that Danielle Smith, an assistant community manager in its Charleston, South Carolina, region, has been named a Certified Managers of Community Associations (CMCA®) by the Community Association Managers International Certification Board (CAMICB).

To achieve this certification, candidates must pass the CMCA examination, a rigorous test that measures knowledge of community management best practices. She joins more than 20,000 CMCAs worldwide who have demonstrated the skills essential for managing homeowners and condominium associations.

Smith has been in the community management industry since 2019 and joined the CAMS team in April 2021. In addition to earning her CMCA, she passed the M100, another rigorous community manager course, in July 2021.

“Since joining the community management industry, one of my goals has been to begin earning my credentials,” said Smith of being named a CMCA. “The [CMCA] exam was quite difficult, so passing it has made me confident in my career choice and given me extra motivation to continue working towards earning additional industry credentials.”
CAMS’ leadership team is proud of the initiative and growth Smith has shown since joining the company as well.

“Though Danielle has been with CAMS for a short time, she has already made great strides,” said Ronda Bossert, Vice President of CAMS’ Charleston region. “We are so proud to have her as part of our Charleston team!”

The CMCA is earned through an independent board that sets standards for community association managers worldwide. It is the only organization created solely to certify community association managers and enhance the professional practice of community management. As a result, CMCA-certified managers have the expertise needed to safeguard the assets of community associations, protect home values, and provide homeowners with peace of mind.
