Canal Insurance Company Appoints New Executives To The Leadership Team

GREENVILLE, SC – Canal Insurance Company announced the appointment of Tim Horgan, Vice President – Transportation and Chief Marketing Officer, and Bob Pace, Vice President and Chief Claims Officer, to the executive leadership team.
Mr. Horgan assumes profit and loss accountability for all Canal’s trucking and specialty automobile business except the large fleet unit. Mr. Horgan will also be responsible for all phases of marketing, agency relations and communication. He is extremely well suited for these roles after a highly successful career in underwriting, marketing and regional management at Continental, followed by nearly twenty years in AIG’s transportation business, the last seven as profit center head.
Mr. Pace, as Chief Claims Officer, will provide strategic and operational leadership to all aspects of Canal’s Claims organization. Mr. Pace joins Canal after a diverse career, which includes eleven years as a practicing attorney, followed by another twelve years of increasing responsibility in the Travelers Claims department, the last six of which as Chief Claims Officer for Northland. Mr. Pace’s last role in the Travelers organization was to lead the Northfield underwriting organization.
