Canal Insurance Hires Timothy J. Hogan as Chief Administrative Officer

GREENVILLE, SC – December 15, 2010 – David J. Firstenberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of Canal Insurance Company, announced today that Timothy J. Hogan has joined Canal as Chief Administrative Officer.
Mr. Hogan holds a B.A. degree from Seton Hall University and has completed graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With more than 25 years of progressive management experience, Mr.Hogan has held several senior management roles at USF&G (nowTravelers Insurance) and Zurich Financial Services Group. Mostrecently, Mr. Hogan served as a Managing Director for Boyden WorldCorporation, one of the largest global executive search firms, leadingtheir Insurance Leadership Search practice.
