Caregiving During the Holidays Workshop at Martha Franks Retirement Community

November 4, 2025

The holiday season can be a time of joy and togetherness, but for many caregivers, it can also bring added stress, frustration, or sadness. To help ease those challenges, the Alzheimer’s Association® South Carolina Chapter will present “Caregiving During the Holidays” on Wednesday, November 12, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Rasor Chapel at Martha Franks Retirement Community, located at 1 Martha Franks Drive in Laurens.

Hosted by Martha Franks Retirement Community, this free, one-hour workshop is open to the public and offers guidance and encouragement for those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Participants will gain practical tips and emotional support to help make the holidays more meaningful and manageable.

Topics include:
• How to care for yourself
• Making the holidays more enjoyable
• Tips to help others understand
• Alzheimer’s awareness
• Holiday safety

This event provides caregivers with an opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences and learn strategies for navigating the season with greater peace and understanding.
