Cargo Hires In Greenville, SC and Toronto
September 23, 2013Cargo, a new model marketing agency specializing in helping global brands connect with small businesses, announced today it has hired two employees to serve an increasing amount of business-to-small business (B2SB) work. The new employees are Laura Hickey and Grant Skellenger.
Hickey is a Client Engagement manager and the first full-time employee permanently located at Cargo’s office in Toronto, Canada. She is responsible for managing marketing and communications with Mercedes-Benz Vans dealers across Canada. Prior to joining Cargo, Hickey served as an account coordinator for Aimia Inc., a global leader in loyalty management programs. Prior to that she served as a customer relations specialist for one of North America’s largest financial institutions — TD Bank Financial Group — and was involved in the promotion of special events for Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.
Hickey has a bachelor’s degree and certification in Publicity and Public Relations from the University of Toronto.
Skellenger is a digital project manager and developer at Cargo working from its Greenville, SC office. Prior to joining Cargo he spent nearly 15 years at ScanSource in a variety of technical service capacities, ultimately becoming Director of Technical Services. In 2009 he left ScanSource to produce a feature-length movie called More Than Diamonds.
Skellenger has bachelor’s degrees in English and Religion from Southern Wesleyan University.
