CargoComposites, a division of ACS, Receives New Orders from British Airways, Royal Jordanian, and Emirates

ACS recently announced several major international sales andtesting transactions of CargoComposites units including a shipment ofLD-3 containers to British Airways, additional ULDs purchased by RoyalJordanian Airlines, and extended testing with Emirates Airline.
British Airways has been evaluating CargoComposites LD-3 containerssince 2011. As a result of positive evaluation, they have purchasedadditional units to increase their fleet of ULDs for further evaluationof reduced total cost of ownership compared to other products availablein the market. “We are pleased British Airways realizes the potentiallower total cost of ownership of our durable and lightweight compositecontainers and look forward to providing them additional savingsopportunity with the increased fleet size of our ULDs,” said TomPherson, President of CargoComposites.
Royal Jordanian Airlines has flight-tested CargoCompositescontainers over a two (2) year period with no required repairs. Due tothe extraordinary performance and realized savings, they have decided tofurther increase their fleet of CargoComposites units. “The savingsthat Royal Jordanian Airlines has achieved during the two year testingperiod has proven significant to the airline, and we are delighted tofurther their CargoComposites experience,” said Tom Pherson.
Emirates Airline has been testing CargoComposites LD-3 containerssince early 2005 and will increase the fleet size to further compare thetotal cost of ownership to other manufacturers’ products. Emirates willtest the ultra durable AeroTuftm curtain door, provided witha three (3) year warranty against forklift puncture, on half of theirULD order and the industry standard vinyl door curtain on the remainingunits. “We are excited about the decision of Emirates to increase theirfleet size of CargoComposites AKE/LD-3 containers.
