Caroline A. Warner receives 2023 Rising Star Award from South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association
July 17, 2023The South Carolina Power Team announced that Caroline A. Warner, Director of Community Development, was awarded the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association (SCEDA) 2023 Rising Star Award. The Rising Star Award is given to two SCEDA members annually who have made a mark on their employer during a relatively short tenure in a new role.
“Caroline’s recognition as a Rising Star is a testimony to her commitment to the state of South Carolina, the South Carolina Power Team and the electric cooperatives across the state that power economic growth and development,” said James Chavez, President and CEO of the South Carolina Power Team.
As Director of Community Development with the South Carolina Power Team, Warner helps communities find solutions to workforce development challenges and educates local leaders about all facets of economic development. She serves as a convener of electric cooperatives and community leadership to find common ground, inspire energy and create engagement around economic growth.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized as a Rising Star by my friends and colleagues in the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association,” Caroline Warner said. “I am grateful to the South Carolina Power Team for investing in my development and for their commitment to serving the communities of our cooperative members.”
Before joining the South Carolina Power Team in 2020, Warner spent time with Nexsen Pruet and the Oconee Economic Alliance. She holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from Clemson University.
