Cayce Announces Congaree Bluegrass Festival

WHEN: October 4, 2008
11:00 am – 7:00 pm
WHERE: Granby Gardens Park
1800 12th Street, Cayce, SC
WHAT: The day-long festival will include performances by five bluegrass bands:
· Bill Wells and the Blue Ridge Mountain Grass
· Bluegrass TarHeels
· Coldstream Crossing
· Last Road Bluegrass
· Sugarloaf Mountain Boys
In addition, there will be banjo and guitar contests, food vendors and a children’s play area that includes panning for gold and haystack searches. Participants can also tour the Cayce Historical Museum.
The festival is free to the public, except for food. As a family oriented festival, alcoholic beverages and coolers are prohibited. People are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.
