Cayce Ranks #1 in SC for Recent Graduates & Millennials
May 13, 2015CAYCE, SC – NerdWallet, a consumer advocacy website, recently conducted a study to find the best cities in South Carolina for millennial job seekers – and the City of Cayce ranked number 1!
To find the best communities for recent graduates and millennials (young people from ages 22 – 32) looking to launch their careers, the company evaluated 66 cities, towns and census-designated places and examined the following:
- Percentage of millennials
- Millennial population growth
- Unemployment rate
- Average worker payroll
- Median rent
Cayce boasts the highest salaries of any place on the list at a median nearing $50,000 a year. Other factors that lead to the number one placement were the location of the City being on the Congaree River and close to the Columbia Metropolitan Airport and major highways. Mayor Elise Partin stated, “The City of Cayce is a great place for young people to call home. In addition to the career opportunities, the quality of life and low cost of living that we offer makes Cayce a perfect place to live, work, play and raise your family. I am proud to call Cayce my home and am thrilled for our City to have this national recognition!”
