Charles Mickel and Pamela Vaughn join Upstate Forever Board of Directors
September 20, 2017GREENVILLE, SC – Upstate Forever is happy to announce two new additions to its Board of Directors: Charles Mickel and Pamela Vaughn.
A native of Greenville, Mr. Mickel serves as President of RSI Holdings, Inc. and Manager of Capital Deployment, LLC and various other entities. He began his career with U.S. Shelter Corporation in 1981 and continued his career with Insignia Financial Group, Inc. in 1990. Mr. Mickel started his own company in 1992 after leaving Insignia. His business activities include investments, acquisitions, finance, sale and asset management of apartment communities, condominium communities, shopping centers, land, venture capital and other various activities.
Mr. Mickel is active in the Greenville area community serving on the boards of The Daniel-Mickel Foundation, the Charity Ball, GLDC, Clemson University President’s Advisory Board, The Cotillion Club, the Peace Center, the Governor’s School for the Arts Foundation, and the Finance and Investment Committee of the Community Foundation of Greater Greenville. Mr. Mickel is a past board member of the Clemson University Foundation, past Chairman of the Clemson University Real Estate Foundation, past president of Artisphere, past president of The Poinsett Club, past President of The Museum Association, past Chairman of the Community Foundation of Greater Greenville and past Treasurer and Board Member of the Greenville Tech Foundation.
Mr. Mickel earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Management from Clemson University (1979), a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina (1981) and is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina. He is a native of Greenville, South Carolina and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Ms. Vaughn is the Environmental and Regulatory Compliance Manager at FUJIFILM Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc in Greenwood. In this key position within the organization, she is responsible for the site’s environmental and regulatory compliance, preservation and stewardship. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. Co-op positions at Georgia Gulf Chemicals, LLC. and Fuji Hunt Chemicals, Inc. jump-started her love of all things environmental.
Pamela joined Fujifilm in 2006 and has continuously assumed greater responsibilities in the areas of environmental protection and becoming an environmental ambassador within South Carolina on Fujifilm’s behalf. She is certified as a LEED Green Associate and is honored to be a Rotarian, Leadership Greenwood graduate, America in Bloom Steering Committee member for Greenwood, Secretary for Keep Greenwood County Beautiful and Manufacturing Representative for the Solid Waste Advisory Council of South Carolina.
