Charleston County releases interactive summary of Comprehensive Plan

Charleston County announced the release of its new Comprehensive Plan Interactive Summary, which provides a more dynamic and accessible way for community members and stakeholders to explore the Comprehensive Plan.
The new online tool features concise summaries of each Plan element, as well as direct links to maps, tables, and figures that illustrate the County’s goals for the future.
Adopted by County Council in May 2024, the Charleston County Comprehensive Plan serves as a guiding framework for preservation, development, and public decision-making over the next five to ten years. Rooted in the community’s shared vision, the Plan sets forth strategic initiatives to protect and enhance the County’s distinctive natural and cultural resources, promote sustainable growth, and maintain a high quality of life for all residents.
The Plan reflects extensive public input and embodies a shared commitment to thoughtful, long-term planning. The Interactive Summary is designed to make it easier for the community to explore and engage with the vision for Charleston County’s future.
