Charleston LOVE WEEK to unite 3,000 community volunteers to serve 30+ non-profits

November 20, 2017

The Charleston community will rally together to support and serve over 30 non-profits that are working to improve the tri-county area through various efforts. With the support of local city officials, businesses, and community members, thousands of service hours will be given to serve the greater metro area of Charleston.

“It’s important to be prayerful and thoughtful, but at the end of the day, what are we doing? Charleston LOVE WEEK is the embodiment of putting things in action to show love to our citizens here in Charleston. I support it wholeheartedly and thank Awaken Church for putting it together. I think it’s remarkable.” – Mayor John Tecklenburg

Over 3,000 individuals will join in the effort to build on our community’s existing spirit of care, unity, and service. The week long initiative is set to end with a celebration party in Marion Square on December 10 at 1:00PM. The event will welcome Mayor Tecklenburg, non-profit and business leaders, and community members to celebrate the work done in and for our city.

“United together, we believe we can create a greater impact than any one group of people could working alone; especially during the holiday season when organizations and individuals need our help the most. With your partnership and participation, this will be an incredible week of serving and loving Charleston together!” – Pastor Brandon Bowers, Awaken Church
