Charleston Metro Chamber hires new AP/AR Manager

The Charleston Metro Chamber announces Atiya Williams-Smalls as Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Manager. She reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance, Beth Franklin.

Before joining the Chamber team, Atiya worked as a Senior Buyer and Truck Import Administrator responsible for purchasing products from manufacturing throughout the world and working closely with accounting to ensure invoices and inventory was recorded correctly and in a timely manner. She has over 15 years of cross-functional experience and a proven record of achievement in high-quality work and business performance. In her new role as AR/AP Manager, she will support the Finance Division by processing accounts receivable and accounts payable for the Chamber and is responsible for month-end closing procedures, general ledger reconciliations and aiding the Senior Vice President of Finance.

Atiya has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from South Carolina State University and an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting from Miller-Motte Technical College. She is a Charleston native, born and raised in the heart of North Charleston. She still calls North Charleston home and enjoys spending time with her large family in her free time.
