Charleston Metro Chamber now accepting applications for skills-based leadership program

The Charleston Metro Chamber is accepting applications for Leadership Discovery until August 30. The 3-month fall program begins in October and has seven sessions designed to enhance valuable leadership skills.

Leadership Discovery is an innovative and skills-based leadership program that allows emergent leaders to learn from experienced regional leaders. Participants will build strong peer relationships, community connections and valuable leadership skills throughout the accelerated program experience.

“Having the opportunity to learn more about my workplace preferences and style gave me valuable insight into how I can work more efficiently; it gave me the confidence to dive deeper into characteristics that I didn’t necessarily realize I possessed,” said Elizabeth Hills, Spring 2019 Leadership Discovery graduate. “The mentors’ messages of passion, energy and drive for innovation and improvement were inspiring.”

The 2019 fall program features an impressive lineup of presenters, providing participants with an opportunity to connect with and learn from some of our region’s top leaders. This session’s mentors include:

• Henry L. Taylor, Brigadier General, United States Air Force (Retired)
• Chloe Tonney, President & CEO, Trident United Way
• Marc Marchant, CEO-elect & Vice President, LS3P
• Patrick Bryant, Partner, Code/+/Trust

Additionally, each participant will receive a personalized DiSC Leadership Profile Assessment administered by Positively People and will attend a 3-course business etiquette dinner.
