Cherry to Serve on Advisory Board for SC Supreme Court Commission

CHARLESTON, SC – Nexsen Pruet is pleased to announce that partner (member) Molly Hughes Cherry has agreed to serve on the Employment and Labor Law Specialization Advisory Board.  

The board works with the South Carolina Supreme Court Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization, which oversees the certification of qualifying attorneys as specialists in designated practice areas in the State of South Carolina, administers the accreditation of programs for CLE providers, and certifies compliance for attorneys licensed to practice in South Carolina.

Cherry is a Certified Specialist in Employment and Labor Law.  She earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, in Government and Spanish from Wofford College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  She graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

In addition to Cherry’s service, Nexsen Pruet attorneys Billy Newsome and Rick Mendoza are the newly elected Chairs of the Estate Planning & Probate Law Specialization Advisory Board and the Bankruptcy & Debtor-Creditor Law Specialization Advisory Board, respectively.  Also, attorney Joel Stoudenmire serves on the Taxation Law Specialization Advisory Board.
