Chick-Fil-A breaks ground for NEW Midlands location

September 4, 2015

COLUMBIA, SC – Chick-fil-A broke ground for its newest location at Killian Crossing, located at the intersection of Killian and I-77.

The Killian Crossing Chick-fil-A will open doors January 2016 and will be owned and operated by former Decker Boulevard operator Aaron Jackson. Jackson is a 10-year veteran of the company and community-loved famous chicken sandwich.

“As part of our mission to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A, we offer programs that help to enrich our local communities,” Jackson said.  “At the Killian Crossing store we will continue to partner with neighborhood schools to promote our company’s Core Essentials®, a character education program that encourages children to develop positive values and many implement fund-raising efforts in which Chick-fil-A products and merchandise serve as student incentives.”

Chick-fil-A offers weekly Kid’s and Family Night with themes or events that encourage families to come together to have some fun while enjoying great food.

Richland County Council Chairman Torrey Rush said, “It is an exciting day in Richland County when we can welcome an opportunity for economic growth in our community. We thank Chick-fil-A for reinvesting back into our county. Today we are not only celebrating the groundbreaking of this store, but we are celebrating Chick-fil-a for opening your 16th Midlands location. We are celebrating your multi-million growth margin and the jobs you are providing to our citizens.”

Jackson said Chick-fil-A will need to fill 75 slots before the January opening. “We are investing back into the community and we are searching for quality people who want to be a part of a winning team,” he said. “We want dedicated and great people to become a part of our family. In return for hard work, we will offer benefits that give you the chance to develop – personally and professionally.”

Chick-fil-A offers a challenging environment in which to work, including excellent benefits and the opportunity to learn useful skills while earning extra income and they are interviewing for all positions—day, evening, leadership and marketing. There are several interview dates:
