October 9, 2014

COLUMBIA, SC – The South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy (SC Campaign) has recently added Alvin Caughman to the organization as Chief Communications Officer. In this role, Caughman will provide hands-on, day-to-day leadership of the SC Campaign communications department; be responsible for all marketing efforts of the agency; and oversee the organization’s brands.

Caughman joins the SC Campaign after serving as the corporate director of marketing at Zeus Industrial products for the past eight years. In this capacity, he directed and executed strategies that created global brand awareness for the organization and its subsidiary companies through branding, public relations, advertising and event management. A native of Lexington, SC, Caughman is a graduate of South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing.

“We are beyond excited to add someone with Alvin’s experience and skill set to our team. Bringing in a communication expert from corporate America will help us expand our awareness and marketing efforts in ways we haven’t been able to previously and will add great value to teen pregnancy prevention efforts in the state,” said Forrest Alton, Chief Executive Office for the SC Campaign. “In addition to Alvin’s expertise, we are fortunate to have Cayci Banks, the SC Campaign’s communications director for the past seven years, remain engaged as a senior advisor.”
